Welcome to the AIMIS Academy page. AIMIS is a BSi Associate Consultant which recognises our ability to help businesses achieve ISO19650 accreditation.

We are currently developing a specific site for our Industry leading Digital Construction Academy.

AIMIS Academy was due to launch in April, however due to COVID-19 we have needed to make a few changes to way our courses are delivered and the way the Academy is launched.  Until our site is up and running please note that the following standard courses are currently available for online delivery using a number of collaboration platforms including 8x8, Microsoft Teams and Zoom:

Building Information Modelling (BIM) Awareness
Our BIM Awareness course is delivered over 3 hours and is aimed specifically at those considering their digital transformation or just want an overview about what it really means.  It is designed to develop a common understanding around what BIM is, where it comes from and the benefits that can be leveraged by adopting it.  We will briefly touch on the standards related to the UK BIM Framework and what constitutes a BIM Level 2 project.  The key benefit of attending this course is that we will dispel the myths of BIM, break down the misconceptions and ensure that you leave with the correct understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and what it means to the UK

By attending this course, you will:

Building Information Modelling (BIM) Fundamentals
Our BIM Fundamentals course is delivered over 1 full day and is aimed at people and businesses who already have a basic knowledge of BIM and want to understand in greater detail the standards methods and procedures used in delivering BIM,  and also expands the subject to cover other aspects of digital construction.

Using our standard training models as examples, this course will provide you with an understanding of why ‘Collaborative BIM’ has been adopted as a UK Government requirement and how Building Information Modelling (BIM) supports reduced waste in construction and asset management

This course will provide a greater knowledge of the extent of BIM related standards that define implementation, including ‘BIM according to ISO 19650’ – the new international standard

This session also uses practical examples, demonstrations and a detailed explanation of the Common Data Environment process and how it should be managed to structure and share digital project and asset information

By attending this course, you will:
