BIM Project Requirements

More and more projects now have requirements for BIM and the golden thread to be utilised, as the industry realises the value of the many benefits it brings. Architects and contractors are being asked about their ability to provide information management to ISO 19650 standards, and for their experience in delivering to this to be evidenced within tenders, or for acceptance onto frameworks.

To avoid missing out on opportunities that have a BIM requirement, we can work with you to develop an integrated tender response demonstrating a true understanding of how digital processes and technologies influence every aspect of a project.

AIMIS can advise on the best software choice for your business’ needs and can work with your team to set up a system within a process framework that is compliant with ISO 19650 standards.

Our experience across each of the available software solutions allows us to not just select the right one for your needs, but also to train your team to utilise it to its full potential, and our knowledge of the requirements of the ISO 19650 standard will ensure the resulting system is fully compliant.

An ISO 19650 certification can be used to satisfy the requirements of many PQQs and tender submissions. Already UK public sector and large private sector tenders only accept bids from those working within The UK BIM Framework according to BS EN ISO 19650 (previously known as BIM Level 2).

AIMIS work by immersing themselves in your business to ensure we fully understand the issues or challenges you face.  We can help you understand your current information and data capability and then demonstrate in simple terms where you need to be.

Once we have identified your specific needs, we can then define a strategy perfectly aligned to your business. This could mean introducing a simple automated task, or delivering standards and implementation training, model development, data production, integration with CAFM systems or even delivering a fully integrated digital change programme.

We understand that each business has unique needs and requires varying levels of support when it comes to adopting new ways of working and to solving the challenges that this presents. This is why we offer bespoke training in every area, and at every level. Whether that be to recommend and implement new processes, new software, or even train your existing resource to meet the requirements of the industry standards.

Our team are generous with their knowledge and passionate about finding the right solution for your business to ensure that together, we can develop a plan to reach your objectives.

AIMIS can support your business every step of the way, giving you the knowledge, tools and training to ensure a smooth and successful transition.

AIMIS are also equipped to deliver ad-hoc or ongoing support, providing a range of modelling and coordination activities covering each of the dimensions associated with BIM. We have an experienced and dedicated team to help with any project requirements, from infrastructure surveys to asset management or even the creation of digital object libraries for building product manufacturers.

We help project and design teams coordinate their digital information using a variety of software to ensure a well-coordinated design is developed prior to construction starting. Early engagement with AIMIS on your project will ensure an approach focused on avoidance rather than correction, i.e. clash detection, which importantly saves time over the project lifecycle.

If your project is further along into the design development process, we can help by developing a robust clash detection strategy to prioritise resolution, aligned with programme to build.

If it’s BIM related, ask us. You’ll get a straight answer, and as much support as you need.
