Never let a good crisis go to waste

As members of our regional Chamber of Commerce, AIMIS were asked to give comment on the current climate, specifically for the construction industry and how they can utilise technology to bounce back from the pressures it’s faced during the ongoing pandemic.

Traditionally, construction clients and their supply chain have been slow to adopt digital processes beyond 3D modelling, but Covid might change this. The pandemic has highlighted the value of doing things differently – for example, remote working and hosting of meetings online reduces travel costs and pollution.

At AIMIS, we’ve taken all our training and services online and developed excellent ways of maintaining engagement. This will certainly become part of our new norm and perhaps Covid will be a catalyst for increased use of digital technology throughout the construction industry.
