AIMIS have been working with Equans for the last 12 months during the pre-construction phase on the Silchester Estate in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, following the successful completion of previous projects.
The project consists of the refurbishment of building services and building cladding replacement of the four towers within the estate. Over 18 metres in height, the towers fell into the HRB (high rise building) category, and therefore under the BSA (Building Safety Act) legislation, requiring specific attention to detail.
AIMIS are tasked with carrying out the information management function on behalf of Equans as the lead appointed party. Our key responsibilities include:
- Rationalising the exchange information requirements across the delivery team
- Monitoring the CDE process ensuring reliability of information exchange
- Auditing deliverables ensuring compliance with information and data standards
- Managing the coordination process across multi-disciplinary models
- Transferring and linking models and data into the digital handover O&M platform, enabling the Golden Thread of information to be maintained during operations
In February 2025, Equans were due for their annual audit for their ISO 19650 accreditation, where the Silchester Estate project was analysed and shown as exemplar.
